It can be that the cmake version 3.10 you are using is too old. In the may18 release cmake 3.11.1 is the requirement.

Try following:

export PATH=/home/christiaan/Desktop/FAIR/FairSoft_NewBuild/bin':'$PATH

and than call cmake of FairRoot
