As discussed in the TRD meeting on march 15 at GSI, a spectral measurement of the 55Fe source will be part of the testing procedure. I'm including the results of such a measurement taken at an oxygen concentration of 67 ppm. The dark area is the source spectrum peaked at around channel 60. The small peak between channels 20 and 40 is the escape peak. Noise is in channels 12 and below. A measurement without source results in the superimposed shaded histogram with channel contents up to 12. A Gaussian fit between channels 44 and 80 results in an energy resolution of sigma = 670 eV (11%).
