Hello everybody,
in the preparation of the test beam and in searching for noise, we realized, that the location where the ground connection of the field cage is sitting is not optimal.
The return current from the Drift HV (180 uA) has to be returned to the HV power supply. The connection of the HV is however at the side where the anode cables are comming out of the chamber.
The field cage (at least the last resistor and the cable coming out of the chamber) should therefore be moved to the side where the Anodes are coming out (but still the same side in z-direction).
We thought about it and did not find any reason why this could not be done, but if someone can think of any interference, please send a message to the forum.
cheers,
Clemens
