Thank you very much Florian. That is completely fine with me.

As an information in case somebody else wants to update: PandaRoot trunk seems to be running fine with Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit, I assume with other Ubuntu 14.04 based distributions as well. However, it is necessary to apply a workaround for external packages apr13 as described here:

The only problem I have found so far is that eclipse 3.8 crashes sometimes when you try to change some settings. However, I can live with that as I had lots of random eclipse 3.7 crashes with Kubuntu 12.04 64 bit previously.
