Hi Lia,
thanks for posting the scheme. Sorry for my ignorance and - in my point of view - the scheme looks great. The only thing is that one should avoid that the detector specific hits depend on the SttRecoHit.
Anyhow, I agree with Tobias that one should avoid code duplication. Therefore - I think - it would make sense to introduce additional common classes from which both detector specific classes inherit from.
e.g. a common class WirepointHitPolicy which stays in genfit with concrete classes WirepointSttHitPolicy and WirepointDchHitPolicy which are located in the detector specific directories. A similar structure can be used for the PndXyzRecoHits.
What do you think? Does it make sense?
