Dear all,

we will have a PandaRoot EVO meeting
this THURSDAY (!), Aug 30, 2007, 14:00-16:00.
(audio testing from 13:30).

Please note the (exceptional) change of day!
(due to the availability of some experts,
and in particular Cerenkov detector experts).

Agenda: main focus PID

a.) round table discussion/brainstorming

what should enter our global PID decision?

e.g. tpc dE/dx, mvd dE/dx, emc E/p, tof, DIRC angle etc. etc.

b.) how do we combine the "local" PID variables
to one "global" likelihood?

e.g. principal components analysis,
neural network, etc.

c.) preparation for the PID mini-workshop at GSI
Sep 20-21
(call for agenda items etc.)
