Very short minutes:
written by Silvia, checked by Kilian

1. xrootd cluster gsiaf
Instabilities were noted, reported and solved, several times. Currently a regular monitoring job is checking all machines every 10 minutes. The result can be found in
Additional monitoring and listing of available data will be provided by the analysis group (regular update of data input lists for analysis jobs).

2. Ticket system
We agreed to use the GSI ticket system (for GRID) to report problems and file requests, to have a better control of the overall situation and better follow the developments. See:

3. Data transfer from CERN to GSI
The debugging procedure is taking some time, but progress is in view. First data to be copied are TPC events requested by Marian. PDC07 runs will follow.
In order to run all necessary processes (deamons, copy from AliEn, cluster monitoring) one virtual machine as VOBox is not sufficient for memory reasons. More will be added, when available.

We discussed again the problem of the file names (changed into something incomprehensible by the mirroring procedure). We will need some sort of dictionary which translates the new names into the logical one (for us to identify the data). This is mandatory in order to be able to use the data locally.

4. New ALICE queue
The D-Grid machines are available as batch system and configured in the queue alice-t3. Only 1 job per machine is accepted, in order not to disturb GRID jobs. This may still be tuned, though.
