If you subscribe to a topic, have the "Select Notification By Default" profile option enabled, and post replies to such a topic, the forum version currently used at GSI (2.6.2) unfortunately replicates the topic subscription. This has two effects

you'll see several identical entries in the subscription list
you'll receive multiple notifications

The problem is known (see FUDforum support forum), fixed, and will disappear when the GSI installation gets updated.
