Dear Benedikt,

Nice that you manage to proceed on the GRID status.
Have you contacted Mohammed Kaci from Valencia? I know that he has been doing some grid data analysis, and that he wrote an additional layer to ease data transfer from storage place to computing unit.
Here is the two links of the presentations and "How To" he wrote for the EGAN school of 2012.
