Dear all,
Today we discussed (again) the many warnings which show up during the compilation and building of pandaroot. On the dashboard these long messages easily hide error messages which makes it very difficult to track the errors. The suggestion was made to disable the "shadow" warning flag of the compiler. See also some discussion extensive discussion we had on the forum some time ago on this....

The bottom-line after some discussion during the pandaroot meeting is that in first instance we will *not* remove this flag, since it was generally believed that it makes sense to take these warnings seriously (for the details see the previous link). So, with this forum message I would like to urge the developers to take a look at these warnings and fix them. I understand that it should not take too much time to do so, hence no show-stopper on that front.
On the next pandaroot meeting we will bring up this point again and if necessary make a hard decision on how to proceed here if the warnings are not resolved by then.
