Dear Radek,

I never wanted to have a TString in FairHit. But one could think about an integer or even use the detectorID, but one should have it in a common way for all subdetectors. If CBM does not like our suggestions we could derive a PndHit from FairHit and they are not affected at all.

The two things I do not like is the storage of the plane information in the PndTrackCand because this is surely a hit information and your suggested modification of the detector enum which is in conflict with the MC propagation.

Cheers,

Tobias
