The "tutorial" is old and not maintened anymore, lhetrack is still valid.
If you want to use it (i.e. track finding, helix fit + kalman), you can use the macros in macro/pid, before the new tutorial will be ready.
Meanwhile the code had a lot of changes, I would strongly suggest to move to jan10 external packages and to the latest pandaroot trunk.
