Compiling FairSoft/ROOT with FFTW3 and MINUIT2 [message #18569]

Hello all

I would like to know if it is possible to enable the FFT and the MINUIT2 packages when installing FairSoft. I guess that a -D option must be passed when compiling ROOT.

Hi Yassid,

Minuit2 is enabled. You should find libMinuit2 in the root library directory beside the other libraries. FFT is not enabled since one needs an additional other library (fftw3). If you want to add the FFT you have to install fftw3 and add the following line

-DFFTW_DIR=<path to fftw installation>

to the file

tools/rootconfig.sh
