Dear all,
a new software release is born, oct14.
This will be the last release with apr13 external packages, and without git distribution of the external software. After, the trunk will not be supported anymore and you will need to move to the new instructions.

In order to download it:

svn co https://subversion.gsi.de/fairroot/pandaroot/release/oct14

Any feedback will be appreciated.

since today 11/11/2014, oct14 is the suggested pandaroot release to run analysis. The wiki page was updated with this new information.

A virtual machine has been created with apr13 externals and pandaroot release oct14.
It is placed at GSI under the following location:

/d/panda02/spataro/VM/oct14.ova

You need to install VirtualBox and import the .ova file. To obtain the user password send me an email.

Hi Stefano,
Can you tell me Is there any changes (oct14-release) in the digi class or reco class because I have generated digi root files and reco root files with mar 14 release. If there is no change then I can use the same root files in pid_complete.C

Several geoemtries were modifed and overlaps fixed. I suggest to run everything with oct14, to avoid any problems.

Wow. The installation of the new version of externals is even more complicated Very Happy

An auto-installation script would be helpful.

But there is the 'make' operation missing in the end of the PandaRoot installation.
