Hello!

I have installed sep12 external packages on my MacBook and I have a problem with root.
The installation was finished without errors, but When I open root and I open anything with grafics (TCanvas, TBrowser etc.) root crashes:

Simones-MacBook-Pro:~ simone$ root

dlopen error: dlopen(/Users/simone/fairroot/external_packages/sep12_build/lib/root/lib ASImage.so, 9): Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libpng14.14.dylib

Reason: image not found
Load Error: Failed to load Dynamic link library /Users/simone/fairroot/external_packages/sep12_build/lib/root/libASImage .so

Error in <TPluginHandler::SetupCallEnv>: class TASImage not found in plugin ASImage
Error in <TGVSplitter::TGVSplitter>: splitterv.xpm not found
Error in <TGHSplitter::TGHSplitter>: splitterh.xpm not found
Error in <TGComboBox::TGComboBox>: arrow_down.xpm not found
Error in <TGVScrollBar::TGVScrollBar>: arrow_*.xpm not found

*** Break *** segmentation violation

The file libASImage.so links to libASImage.5.34.so. Both files exists.

Can someone help me?

Hi Simone,

could you please check if the following file exists

/opt/local/lib/libpng14.14.dylib

This file is not found by libASimage
