Dear all,

I would like to integrate PHOTOS radiative corrections into a custom event generator e.g. pion event generator in "pgenerators/EMFFgenerators".

I think about 2 ways

1. Integrate PHOTOS in the event generator

or

2. Integrate the event generator in EvtGen where PHOTOS is supported

I looked into EvtGen code but the way it is connected with PHOTOS isn't clear to me yet. I feel that second option could be easier though I'm not sure if it is the best way.

Hi,
I would support hypothesis 2, bug I fear you have to study a big photos/evtgen by yourself, nobody of the collaboration has such knowledge.
A starting point maybe is the evtgen guide. It is not clear to me how photos is running for us, some tests could be important before to start. Alaa had started such studies, but I don't know how far he went.

Hi Dmitry,
I also think that option #2 is easier.
What you would have to do, is to write your event generator
as a "decay model" in EvtGen, then the PHOTOS comes for free.
See pgenerators/EvtGen/EvtGenModels/*.cc for the existing models.
EvtSingleParticle.cc is an easy example.
After you wrote your model, it must be registered in EvtModelReg.cc.
