hi,
I am running the Eta_c simulation, with the present (29 sep 11) trunk version of the code.

I use :

pandaroot/macro/run/tdrct/eta_c/run_sim_stt_evt.C

at everything is good.

Then I run

pandaroot/macro/run/tdrct/eta_c/run_digi_stt_evt.C

and I get the messages below. After that the reconstruction
never finds any event.
Please experts (Mohammad ? Tobias ?) comment.
Thanks in advance Gianluigi

HI,

I just run the macros you mentioned and it works for me! looking at your output it seems that the output file of the simulation was not closed properly. Did the run_sim_stt_evt.C exit without errors?

Hallo,
please find in the attachment the log file of the
run_sim_stt_evt.C

Also included there is the complete log file of the

run_digi_stt_evt.C

Cheers Gianluigi

.... also I should mention that I am running on
lxi013.gsi.de

with externals

unfortunately it doesn't help.
Since this week I will be away (at the PSI near Zuerich) I can
send you privately my password so that you can run the code yourself from my area.
Thanks in advance

Hi,

I can just add that I observe the same error message as Gianluigi,
however the following steps in eta_c reconstruction (reco, pid) work and eta_c are reconstructed with efficiency 14.5% (on GRID with july11 release efficiency - 22.8% and august11 - 10.9%).

However I have no idea what the default geometry is:

Info in <TGeoManager::TGeoManager>: Geometry Geometry, default geometry created
Warning in <TGeoManager::Init>: Deleting previous geometry: Geometry/default geometry

And if it is not he same geometry as used in simulation it can for sure affect the results.

I run simulation on GSI batch farm (lenny64), 5 runs by 1000 events and in each of 5 I see this error message.

And I see the same message on my local computer with Scientific Linux 6.

Hi,

This error message is related to one of the recent changes (r.13490) in /base/FairModule.cxx. After moving back to rev. 13489 for FairModule.cxx, FairModule.h the error message disappear.

Hi,

I reproduce this error and it was caused by a change in the FairModule streamer two weeks ago ( r13490). Now I revert it and it should work.

Quote:

Info in <TGeoManager::TGeoManager>: Geometry Geometry, default geometry created
Warning in <TGeoManager::Init>: Deleting previous geometry: Geometry/default geometry

In a reco session we have first to create a dummy geometry and then import the proper geometry to it and thus this warning.

regards

Mohammad
