Dear all,

I need to discuss for unexpected mass shape for Psi3770 in the data of run802 at gridka.

In attached file with the name of "psi3770_run802.eps",
you can find the mass distribution of
Psi3770 from D+(k-pi+pi+) and D-(k+pi-pi-) daughter without any vertex fitting as a first stage in the run802 data.

"psi3770_expected.eps" shows the distribution what I can expect, that is produced with old pandaroot version in my local.
I have some irregular events near at 3.9 GeV.

First question is that, run802 has some expecting bug during the production or should be ok?

Thank you for your hint...

Hello Donghee,

I can comment that also for pi+pi- and pi+pi-pi+pi- analysis I have strange behaviour with run 800 and 803, (TPC), that disappear with run 800np and 803np (TPC no photos).

But I notice that strange behaviour only with TPC and not STT if I compare the versions with/without photos.

best,
Elisa

Dear all,

Ok thanks!
I have seen those very bad mass shape since run701 and run705 data, which is related data on psi3770 with stt mode.
Then I can now understand what happened...
At that time, also some photos was introduced until run802.
Then it will be gone starting from next production like 704np, right?

It might be rather useful to produce some data in local to test and follow all improvement of tracking than waiting gridka data.

We have still to wait for the new may11 release (Johan?) before starting the new production.
