Dear all,

in the gconfig directory, parameters and cuts for Geant3 and Geant4 are set. I'd like to know who set the values as we have them in svn and what's the reason for it. Looking to the energy deposition distribution I get quite different results from Geant4 compared to Geant3 when using the 'standard' set of parameters which is probably due to not compatible switches/cuts.
In other words, are the svn values 'official' PANDARoot settings or is the user supposed to find his own settings?

I would say: we have to fix the cuts to reproduce the experimental data...
At present there are some studies on EMC cuts, but I think nothing else is done for the other detectors.
