Hi,
today I have updated my version of svn, run the cmake ../pandaroot, and then the config.sh.
After the config.sh my terminal closes, and streaming the output I have the following message:

Toggle Spoiler

I think this is related to the last changes in cmake part. I have also cleaned my build dierctory, but I have always the same error even if the code is not yet compiled.
Fix are requested Smile

A last thing:
if I use the svn version 5395 only in cmake directory, everything runs fine, and I have the following correct message:

Toggle Spoiler

Then I think it is just a problem of the last cmake commit.

Hi Stefano,

I have the same error on my SuSe 11.0 notebook. The problem is coming from the check_system.sh call in config.sh.

It reads in the first line of /etc/issue. Unfortunately on some systems this line is empty which causes the problems you have.

You can either change /etc/issue and delete the first empty line or you have to set the line export Linux_Flavour = " .... " to an empty string.

Nevertheless this is only a workaround. The problem should be fixed in the cmake procedure.

Ciao,

Tobias

Hi

If there ideas who to get the info about the underlying system in a better way then
let me know. As Tobias already pointed out all the systems behave differentely, so for me it's hard to come up with a unique procedure. The best what i could do was to use /etc/issue. If this now introduces problems we have to find another way.
I think it does not make sense to put to much different procedures for all kind of systems in the script.

Ciao

Florian

Hello Florian,

I second the opinion to not exit the shell on that error/warning.
OpenSuse10.2 has that empty line in /etc/issue as well.

Ralf.
