error during make install [message #8004]

Dear all!

I get this error during the make install:

CMake Error at base/cmake_install.cmake:42 (FILE):
file INSTALL cannot find file
"/home/tsito/fairroot/cbmsoft/cbuild/lib/libBase.so.0.0.0" to install.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
cmake_install.cmake:37 (INCLUDE)

make: *** [install] Error 1

However, the file existed before make install running.

How to get rid of this?

Hi,

Make install is not used anymore! and it should do nothing! are you using the head of SVN? or which version?

In theory if you type just "make" instead of "make install" it should work the same.
Have you tried this?

Hi,

libEGPythia6 is a root library can you check if it exist! normally this library is build when root is configured with pythia (which is the case in the external packages), please check also that libPythia6.so exist in $SIMPATH/generator/lib if not the libEGPythia will not be build!

could it be that you have problems with your fortran compiler?
