root geometries with GeoManager [message #6338]

Dear Mohammad,

I have tested the possibility to import my root geometries with a GeoManager in the file. Unfortunately this fails with the error message:

===> GEANT4 materials created and mapped to TGeo ones...
Cannot make material for volume: TOP
Aborting in CreateLogicalVolume()

*** G4Exception: Aborting execution ***

Without the GeoManager the import works fine.

I have added both files to the forum entry. The file with "_wG" contains the GeoManager

Hallo Tobias,

I tested the files you send, in G3 it works but it crashes on exiting, in G4 the one without TGeoManager works but also crashes on exiting! with the old geometry in SVN (MVD14.root) it works fine, also for any TGeoManager that I tested with! so could it be that you change the output structure in the converter CADtoROOT? is there any major changes!

Hallo Mohammad,

I haven't changed anything in the converter but it uses for the creation of the root file root 5.18. The old files used root 5.12.

Maybe this is the difference?
