I would like to invite you to discuss the primary requirements on controls. http://www.gsi.de/zukunftsprojekt/experimente/Controls/index_e.html

The Experiment COntrol System (ECOS) group of GSI/DVEE http://www.gsi.de/informationen/wti/dvee/exp_kontrol/exp_kontrol_systeme _e.html has started a series of kickoff meetings with representatives of the FAIR experiment collaborations.

The goal of the kickoff meeting is to start the discussion, to indentify subsystems, tasks and responsibilities on a very high level. For the end of the following meetings, I expect following results:
- list of subsystems and the corresponding responsible persons
- list of device types
- list of tasks
- list of risks
- list of critical paths
- list of priliminary proposed or already existing solutions

As result of the initialization phase of all FAIR experiments it should become clear, which tasks are common to more then one experiment and which tasks could possibly performed by the ECOS group.
