Hi!

The problem that G4 cannot be run without an XServer available as is the case for most batch machines is known already. However I want to keep it present and somewhere at the top of the priority list.

Currently I would like to run several jobs for space charge studies and tracking studies. Limited to my office machine I am not very effective at that.

Regards,
Sebastian.

Hi,

In fact the problem is not in Geant4, but in Geant4VMC part, trying to run the simulation in batch mode will crash because of some graphic libraries needed by G4VMC, I will report this to Ivana. For now if you like to run with G4 in batch mode
(root sim.C -b) just add the line:

gSystem->Load("libGui")

to your simulation macro and it should work with G4.

regards

Mohammad
