Hi Klaus, hi Stefano,

when I run ./simpleEvtGen 'psi(2S)' psi2s_jpsi2pi.dec 50000 (according to Klaus presentation), the program only run up event 48173 (every time it stops at the same event) and I have such message:

EvtGen:event Number 47900
EvtGen:event Number 48000
EvtGen:event Number 48100
***************************************************************
*
* PHOENE: Too much Bremsstrahlung required, PRSOFT = -1.445127
* Fatal Error Message, I stop this Run !
*
*
***************************************************************

Do you know why?

I checked simpleEvtGen with rev. 2039 and I still have similar problem (I reportet 15.02.08), that the EvtGen stops at some point, but now, it stops even earlier (??), at 7034 event..

I checked pandaEvtGen and testEvtGen (also for rev. 2039) and with these I do not have such problem (I run 100000 events).

Any idea?

Never mind, I fixed it. Apparently PHOTOS can not handle decays into six particle final states, so I disabled it by adding 'noPhotos' to the decay file.

Hi all,

this seems like the problem is coming from PHOTOS.

and it means that PHOTOS was switched on in the EvtGen decay.

like this

Decay J/psi
1.000 e+ e- PHOTOS VLL;
Enddecay
End

can you maybe remove the word "PHOTOS" and try again?
