Elastic scattering in DPM generator [message #4988]

Dear PandaRooters,

I try to do some simulations to estimate the hit rate the MVD is facing during pbar-p operation of the experiment. Therefore I used DPMGen to generate the initial particles with the different options with and without elastic scattering. But it seems to me that the generator creates exactly the same files independent of the option you choose (only elastic, only inelastic, both). Even the size of the files is identical.

Has somebody else observed the same problems or can comment on it?

Hi Tobias!

I had requested the elastic switch feature for DPM. And as far as I remember it worked for us. But I have to confirm that with Felix who did the spacecharge studies for the tpc. Maybe he also knows the trick how to make it work...
