Dear all,
we will have a PandaRoot EVO meeting
this Wednesday, June 6, 2007 14:00-16:00.
Please note that it is really EVO ! (and not VRVS).
Audio (and video) testing from 13:30.
Agenda:
1.) track finder and fitter
(roughly 14:00-14:30)
ongoing work (Oleg, Christian, Mohammad, et al.)
and some open questions (concerning GEANE and dependencies)
2.) status of event generators
(roughly 14:30-16:00)
plus discussion and questions.
generators in alphabetical order:
o DPM (Aida, Vladimir)
o EvtGen (Stefano)
e.g. questions:
how do we do p+pbar[spin 0] ?
and in particular, special models
Lambda Lambda-bar (Aleksandra W.)
phi phi (will be postponed to later, when Jan can attend)
hybrids (Dima M.)
o hypernuclei event generator (Alicia)
o Fluka (Denis, Olaf)
o Pluto (Stefano)
o Pythia (Denis)
o UrQMD (Aida, Vladimir)
and info from Marcus Bleicher, Frankfurt theory group (Soeren)
and also
o Unigen (Dima K.)
do we need it ?
(e.g. maybe for the fast simulation ?)
3.) stable versions and development versions:
svn, cmake, automatic testing, what is the plan etc.

Hi Sören,
I just tried to start EVO since I never used it here in Munich.
After a short time it goes into the "NO NETWORK" state, comes
never back, and all other http requests from my node are blocked
for some time. It looks like EVO uses some port(s) which are not
passed through the firewall. Thus, I cannot promise that I'll get
it going for tomorrow.
