I use cygwin on a notebook under Windows XP. When I execute xdpyinfo localy in an xterm on the notebook, I see the usual list of supported extensions (see attached file xdpyinfo-local.txt), especially extensions like SHAPE.

When I do a 'ssh -X' to a linux system (here lxg1408) and check again with xdypinfo, I get very much reduced list of supported extensions (see attached file xdpyinfo-remote.txt), only BIG-REQUESTS, LBX, and XC-MISC are reported.

As a consquence, some applications I start in this context complain about missing support of extensions like SHAPE.

When I 'ssh -X' from one Sarge system to another, I see no change in the reported extensions support in xdpyinfo.

Any hint on what is causing this is very welcome.
