Hi again,
Following your advice I tried to install FairSoft with Root 6, exactly as described in the installation guide.
However it ends with an error message - see the last 10 lines (complete log file in attachment):
*** Unpacking geant4.10.02.p01.tar.gz ..............
*** Compiling Geant4-lib ................
*** Compiling Geant4-build ................
*** geant4 compiled successfully ***
*** Compiling xrootd ................
*** Compiling root ................
Copied rootconfig.sh ......................
Configure Root ..........................................
*** ERROR: root could not be created.
*** End installation of external packages with Errors***
What's wrong now?
I chose the "No Debug" option. Should I repeat the procedure with the "Debug Info" option?
