Hello base developers,

I just found out that I simulated 150 GB of worthless data for the TDR: all tracks straight, no magnetic field inside the propagation.
Apparently, there have been recent upgrades in the base folder:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Geometry is now initialized before the field, request from CBM

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Change code to elliminate all effective c++ warnings.

Something in there breaks my macros:
Warning in <gufld>: Using deprecated function TVirtualMCApplication::Field().
Warning in <gufld>: New TVirtualMagField interface should be used instead.

I did not have the time to look into this, but going back to revision 12158 just in the base folder fixes the problems.

I think we have to be really careful with changes in the base folders. If there are any consequences to simulation macros, these have to be properly announced.

Did I miss some discussion about this?

The version running on the grid is not affected, right?

Cheers

Felix
