Dear all,

Process Variables (PV) are the values monitored and/or controlled via the slow controls system. It is a good idea to establish early
on some naming conventions for PVs, to avoid confusion later and to simplify interconnectivity and integration of the various subsytems.

Peter Zumbruch has written a wiki outlining the PV naming conventions that PANDA slow controls should follow:

Please take a look, but most importantly make a note for later on, when you will get to the stage of designing your susbsystem's slow controls.
