Dear all,
running the macro/dc1/full/run_sim.C macro (so DPM event generation), by using Geant4 sometimes the following warnings appear:

Info in <TGeoShapeAssembly::DistFromInside>:
Cannot compute distance from inside the assembly (but from a component)

or

No physical volume found at track vertex: (927.786,21176.1,28363.Cool
++++ TG4Warning: ++++
TG4TrackingAction::UserProcessHits:
Cannot locate track vertex.
+++++++++++++++++++++++

(the two warnings do not seem to be correlated).

Switching on/off detectors I have found these warnings appear only when the EMC detector is inside, even when it is the only detector. By testing I have excluded they come from the FWEEMC root geometry or from the forward calorimeter, or better I have excluded they come only from them.

In geant3 there are no warnings.

It would be nice to understand what is going wrong there, if something is really going wrong. In particular in the the second warning the vertex coordinates are outside the EMC... so these are not connected to transport inside EMC but outside.

I do not remember to have ever seen such kind of warnings before, but I have never tried DPM with EMC before. Do you have any experience on this?
