Dear all,
As was announced during our last workshop at GSI, there will be a follow-up "tracking-like" workshop held at KVI. A website with a registration possibility and more information will become available once we settle on the actual dates of the meeting. Please use the Poll option to select your preference. Of course you are welcome to reply to this message in stead/as well.
Tentative topics for the meeting could be (suggestions are welcome!):
* global tracking in PandaRoot: tutorials, howto's, perpectives, etc.
* pattern recognition for PID & track finding: status, ideas, perspectives, etc.
* pattern classification: theory, examples from other field, etc.
* towards second-level trigger software for Panda: brainstorming, planning, etc.
* ...

Dear all,
From the discussion in our last PandaRoot video-conference meeting, it became clear that the Giessen group will have serious problems (teaching duties) to participate in the workshop in case we schedule the meeting in February. Since I find it important that the Giessen experts are present, I would like to schedule the meeting in January in stead. Now, based on the "remaining" poll result, I propose for the dates of the meeting:
21-25th of January 2008, location KVI, Groningen.
I will try to reserve a whole week for the workshop (lets see how the program will look eventually).
In one of these days, I will announce the workshop as well on the general Panda mailing list and provide a website for registration and for further information (program, traveling, hotel reservation, etc.).
