Dear all,

We are planning to have a mini-workshop connected to the Panda collaboration meeting on Thursday and Friday the 20th and 21th of September. The location of the meeting will be the side room of the Auditorium at GSI. The actual timeslot will be announced later, once the program is defined.

The main topic of discussion will be on Particle ID. The workshop will be in the spirit of open discussions and introductory presentations. We are presently looking for input and contributions from those who are interested to participate in the workshop. For that, please contact me directly.

As reminder: on our next collaboration meeting we will have a mini-workshop on Particle ID with our computing framework. The program is still open for discussion. At the moment, the following speakers have indicated that they would like to contribute or have been asked:

Klaus Foehl - confirmed
Carsten Schwarz - confirmed
Tassilo Christ (HADES expert) - confirmed
Supriya Das (CBM, RICH) - confirmed
Tetyan Galatyuk (CBM, global PID) - not confirmed yet
Bertram Kopf - not confirmed yet

Besides PID, we will also have other topics on the program, namely:

Andrea Fontana - Tutorial Geane interface
Mikhail Kosov (JLab) - G4 news + CHIPS eventgenerator

We can discuss the program in more detail on the next PandaRoot meeting. For those who like to contribute, please contact me preferably asap.
