Hi!

I have the following problem: I want to run some jobs on a stable version of the software. In the meantime I want to continue developing. For this I would like to have two working copies of the software.

How would you do this?

Sebastian.

Hi,

This is a good point to discuss again now, one can make his own solution but it would be much better to have a release now with some stable stuff, then at least one is sure that everybody is using the same stuff for production.

Technically this can be done in minutes, we just have to have a stable svn release and the rest I can do immediately.

regards

Mohammad

Hi Mohammad!

And when there are two different releases, I will have to check out two pandaroot directories. Create a build directory for each and do the usual procedure for a build in each of them. Is that right?

This would mean my directory structure could look like this:

FAIRRoot/
.. pandarootDev/
.. pandarootStable/
.. buildDev/
.. buildStable/

Is this the idea?

Cheers! Sebastian.

Hi all,

I would not have any problems in having a stable and development release next to eachother. I would say, lets suggest this on the Dubna meeting....

Kind wishes,

Johan
