Dear MVD experts,

In order to see the property of MVD tracking, one can use
PndMvdPidIdealTask to build a track candidate, which has a name of "PndMvdPidCand".

When I have a look macro/mvd/tracking/.
there is also riemanntrack finder, but I think it is not track candidate, because fitting is not performed in the next step.
Is the PndMvdTPCRiemannTrackFinderTask a preparing step of track candidate?

If this class can prepare only some possible track candidates from all combination of MVD+TPC hits, when is the riemann sphere track fitting presented? Is it hidden and internally worked?

I'm wondering also, how is it different with comparing LHE tracking?
Can somebody teach me about that?

Best wishes,
Donghee

Hello Donghee,

I'll comment on the MvdPidTasks.
It was done whend global PID data structures were not introduced. It is an Ansatz taking experience from the old Framework to the new code. Separation powers for different particle hypothesis were fitted and are applied as Likelihood functions here.
This code is intended to be re-interfaced one day.

The Mvd standalone tracking is not intended to be used right now. Pleas use common tracking approaches like LHE or RiemannTracking (with the outer Tracker).

For the Riemann Tracking I havve to redirect you to Tobias Stockmanns.
As far as my understanding goes it is housed in pandaroot/PndTools/riemannfit.

Regards, Ralf.
