Dear colleagues,

I have a request:
Can we define a common rootlogon script, to make sure that all the libraries and dictionaries are available when opening a data file?

How are you handling this?

I like this approach, too. It should be inside svn, too. Then these dependency problems might just bother the corresponding developer.

My old proposal (that I am using at the moment) was to have a rootlogon.C file under gconfig, so that just changing the .rootrc in our home directory one could use it.

If you agree I could upload one file there, or if you have better idea just write here Smile

Hello,

I have added in gconfig directory a preliminary "rootlogon.C" file.
Maybe something is missing there, in the case just post here in the forum what you miss.

In order to use it, you have to create in your home directory a file called .rootrc, and there you have to write the following line:

Rint.Logon: $(VMCWORKDIR)/gconfig/rootlogon.C

Nothing else. And you will have all the libraries loaded in the correct way each time you will open root (but only after you have called the config.sh script, that set VMCWORKDIR).
