Hi everybody,

At the Ferrara workshop we noticed that we will need a base class directory specific for the panda software. As I remember there should be general classes, e.g. track & candidate prototype classes (collection of hit numbers, no representation (?) ) and the detector plane.
Such things I have seen in the genfit & recotasks and I think these datatypes don't depend on the package but the other way around.
I think it would be good to have such standards, esp. when thinking of the forward part a common detector plane class is needed anyway.

Regards, Ralf.

Hi!

There already is a Detector Plane class available in genfit.
And we provide a specific interface for planar detector hits.

I know that we decided to split genfit in several packages. I just want to finish the restructuring that we did before we tackle these issues. I would ask you to be a little bit patient and use the genfit package monlytically at the moment.

I hope this is ok!???

Cheers! Sebastian.
