Geant4.8.0 and Geant4.8.1 have been installed at GSI. Cool
Currently only the environment Debian3.0 and gcc323.00 is supported. The installation for Debian Sarge will follow, soon.

Please initialise the new Geant4 versions by
- from a Debian3.0 machine:
- . gcc32login
- . gsisimlogin g4.8.0 or . gsisimlogin g4.8.1

supported visualisation packages are:
- Dawn
- David
- OpenGL
- Wired

Dear Geant4 users,

Geant4.8.1 has been installed at GSI for Debian Sarge. Smile
Now both environments (Debian3.0 and gcc323.00)
as well as (Debian3.1 and gcc335-13) are supported.
Debian3.0 and gcc295-04 is, starting with Geant4.8.1, not supported anymore. Sad

Please initialise the new Geant4 version by doing
- . gsisimlogin dev
or
- . gsisimlogin g4.8.1

supported visualisation packages are:
- Dawn
- David
- OpenGL
- Rayx
- VRML
- HEPVis
- Wired

Currently the environment Debian3.1 and gcc335-13 (32bit)
as well as Debian4.0 and gcc411-21 (64bit)
are supported.

Please initialise the new Geant4 version by
- from a Debian3.0 machine:
- . gsisimlogin g4.8.3 or . gsisimlogin dev

supported visualisation packages are:
- Dawn
- David
- OpenGL
- Wired
