Hi,
I am trying to draw the geometry but there is always a crash for every geometry I am trying to draw, I have reinstalled pandaroot again and export SIMPATH but it is still there.

Did you try to draw the default geometry from macro/run?

I want to create root file of single lambda disk ot of two disk by using /pandaroot/mvd/MvdMC$ root -l CreateLambdaGeometrySeparatedSupport.C previously it is working now It is not working and every macros which creates root file of geometry is not working. I have also tried drawGeo.C with FiarBaseParSet changed to FairGeoParSet again there is same problem.

I have tried to draw the geometry with one of the latest trunk and it works. Mar14 had some problems, maybe that was the reason.

About externals installation, which flag did you set when it was asking about the geant4 externals? You should use "internet" flag, 1 if I remember well. It seems you did not install them.

Are you sure you are not overwriting the same folder of some previous installation?

Did the build process of geant4 dowload the data files? Do you see any errors than geant4 was not able ti download the files?

Ciao

All the downloads of the external packages have a timeout, and the hashes do not correspond. Maybe you have a slow connection?

Subversion is slowly downloading external packages when I do ctr+c it shows caught signal but at the time of building external package it is working fast.

Maybe it is better that you download the files, and you install them from the directory.

I will download the files apr13 from a direct internet connection and will copy in my desktop and then I will compile it on my desktop. I think there is some problem due to proxy.

I am speaking about ONLY the external files of Geant4, not the whole externals.

Is it possible that you aborted the downloading of the source files? Ctrl+C usually aborts a process. I don't think that it is a good idea to push Ctrl+C while downloading the neccessary files.

Maybe I misunderstood what you wrote...

Hi,
Actually It is installing package very slowly some time it takes too much time 15 minute for one small file or more time then I have to do ctr+c which shows caught signal and stopped the downloading then I have to delete the incomplete installed directory. Then I repeat the same process till I get all the downloaded (without stopped downloading) external package directory.
when I do buildApr13 at that step speed is good but it takes some more time at some points in between to execute.

Thank you

Hi,

these files are not downloaded when you checkout the external packages from SVN. These files are downloaded by the Geant4 installation process when Geant4 is build.

Ciao

Florian

Hi,
I have installed the pandaroot by using the previous apr13 package which was in the stick when I have installed in March. I have just replaced the tools directory inside that by apr13p1's tools directory(for ubuntu 14.04). I have seen that there is some problem in checkout of external package It is not checking out some of thing that create problem at the time of building it as in my case Geant4 and may be some other things(missings) also after compiling geant4.

I have seen this topic is still not closed.
I have not understood, the externals of geant4 are automatically downloaded in the installation procedure if you answer to the proper question with "Internet".
Why are you installing the packages by yourself?

Hi Stefano,
Thank you for reply, I have installed the external package successfully, but there was some problem that I have faced some time downloading is very-very slow almost stopped due to some thing when I do ctrl+c It shows caught signal, I have tried many times and after some time It is downloading fast then It is compiled successfully.

I have figure out also the segmentation violation in only in drawing geometry while other codes are working as sim_complete.C etc. The reason was that the library related to open-gl is crashed in synaptic, that is why it is crating the problem related to opengl drawing.

Thank you
shyam

Hi Tobias,
I have intially ubuntu 12.04 and then replaced with 14.04. I have installed pandaroot successfully. Some times downloading of external pakage is very-much slow (almost stopped) then I do ctrl+c then i get something like svn: E200015: Caught signal (I do'not know what is this). I do again (repeating) till I get fast downloading then It is compiled.

Thank you
Shyam
