The method CheckIfSensitive, in my understanding, checks whether a given volume is sensitive such that the method ProcessHits is called. It is relevant only in case of constructing the geometry from a ROOT file.

Should it then not be a method in FairDetector instead of FairModule, since a passive FairModule does not have the ProcessHits method at all?

HI,

Yes, but the geometry construction is done in the Module which is the base class for detectors also.

I added a new condition now and the method will be called only if you implement a detector class (svn r 22501) this will be available in the next release.

Cheers,

Mohammad
