Hello everyone,

I wanted to simulate only one specific event with a lot of additional information for debugging reasons. For this I have a standalone evt gen file that I pipe through the pandaroot simulation via the DPM standalone interface. Within my macros I specify FairRunAna to run from Event 151 to 151 via FairRunAna->Run(151,151). This seems to work for all stages of the reco chain except the geant-simulation part (first part). Here he always starts at event 0 and stops at my specified event number. Is this a problem because I'm using a standalone event generator input file?

Best regards,

Stefan

Hi,
the simulation has a progressive number that starts always from 1, you cannot start from a specific number of the input file. I can suggest to take your DpmGenerator, and put a constraint there (if nevent!=xx continue), so that it streams only that event.
Other solutions are not possible, I believe.
