Hi All

I know that we can create magnetic field maps for custom designed magnets in pandaroot. I tried to go through the pandaroot directory and it is not very clear to me how to go about doing that.

I have the required geometry files for the magnet and i would like to generate its magnetic field map so that i can play around with the region involved and design my detectors accordingly.

Thanks a bunch
Cheers
Raghav

Hi,
this is not true, you have to use TOSCA to calculate magnetic field maps according to your magnet geometry.
After, you can use your maps inside pandaroot. But pandaroot is not doing such calculations for you.

Hi Stefano

Ok, i understand now. This is a separate software then and not included in fairroot right.

thanks
Raghav
