Dear colleagues,

We have developed a standalone ring finder based on the elastic net. Efficiency is about 93%, speed is 1 ms per event. The algorithm is very general and can be used for any RICH detector.

Great !!! Is your recent talk given during the CBM Tracking Workshop the most up-to-date info ? Or is there a new paper or note to read ? It it already in the framework (in CVS) ? What's the name of the Task class implementing it ?

Cheers, Walter

Yes, this is the up-to-date status. Here I attach a part of TSR about the EN ring finder.

There is now a CBM note "Elastic net for standalone RICH ring finding"
describing the algorithm. In the appendix you can find the source code fully explained in the note.
