Hello everybody,
few days ago I finished unifying the Stt alone Pattern Recognition
and the Stt+Mvd PR in a single task called PndTracking.
As I explained in a couple of Evo meetings, this is convenient in
order to reduce the Cpu time consumption and to allow the new slightly different (and improved) PR logic.
The logic changes consists in the elimination of some redundant loops and the inclusion from the beginning of the SciTil hits both in the very first stage of the algorithm and later in the Cleanup procedure.
A new directory called
pandaroot/tracking
is available now. (My) idea is eventually and in the future, to unify all the task involving the Stt there (V0 secondary vertex, Mvd+Stt+Gem PR).
The old directories :
stt and sttmvdtracking
are still there naturally; though they will not be developed any more except perhaps and momentarily for the V0 PR.
If there are objection to this plan please let me know; tomorrow at the EVO meeting there is a good chance to offer suggestions and criticism
