Dear Alicia,
I add string: add_subdirectory (ftof)
to file pandaroot/CMakeLists.txt (copy of trunk from svn) attached,
then:
cd pandaroot/buildPanda
make clean
cmake ../
. ./config.sh
make

then I add some lines to pandaroot/tutorials/charmonium/jul10/run_sim_tpccombi.C:

FairDetector *FTof = new PndFtof("FTOF",kTRUE);
FTof->SetGeometryFileName("ftofwall.root");
fRun->AddModule(FTof);

and to pandaroot/tutorials/charmonium/jul10/run_digi_tpccombi.C (attached):
// ----- FTOF hit producers ---------------------------------
PndFTofHitProducerIdeal* tofhit = new PndFTofHitProducerIdeal();
ftofhit->SetVerbose(iVerbose);
fRun->AddTask(ftofhit);

then run it:
root -b run_sim_tpccombi.C

but stil the result is:

Processing run_sim_tpccombi.C...

PSaid instance created... access via gSaid->f()
